Jay and Raynna Myers are the founders of Yetsirah Community. For years we have studied, prayed for, and helped the persecuted Church—in fact, we met at a Voice of the Martyrs Conference. We know that the heart of God is that we (in the Free Church) remember, pray, and help those who are suffering. Our hearts are deeply drawn to the those who are suffering and hope that somehow we can lift their burdens. To this end, God has deeply inspired us of the effectiveness of prayer. Wherever we speak we hope to ignite and impart prayerfulness and faithfulness in the God, of Israel, who hears and acts on behalf of those who love Him.

Collectively, we have—also—been studying the Jewish heritage (background) to the Christian faith for over 15 years. We have studied and continue to study both of the traditions of Judaism and Christianity. We hope to gain what is good from both while not pitting one against the other (as too often has occurred throughout the last two millenia).

Jay, is working towards a Judaic Studies degree. Jay and Raynna are continually studying the Scriptures and various scholars to gain a more balanced understanding of the New Testament community—Jesus’ early disciples. Our wish is that from this we may gain a better understanding of who the Church is to be in light of the Jewish Heritage. Our hearts desire is to honor the Jesus of Judaism, the Jewish people of Jesus, and the Church of God.
